At Montana Tech, we want our students to succeed. To reduce the financial strain of paying for college, over 90% of our first-time students receive some form of financial aid. Whether it be scholarships or grants, federal or state loans, or even student employment on campus, we want to make college affordable.

Check out our Net Price Calculator and see what your estimated costs will be.

Montana Tech is committed to providing both state and federal financial assistance to qualifying students. Nearly every student is eligible to obtain financial aid to assist with the cost of their education.

We encourage you to apply, and to apply early, to ensure that you don’t miss out on any opportunities that may be available. Even if you think you may not qualify, it’s never a bad idea to apply! To be considered for the maximum amount of aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov by December 1st.

Montana Tech offers over $1 million in scholarships to each new incoming class. All incoming first-year students are eligible for Oredigger merit scholarships, which are awarded automatically based on GPA and test scores.

Other awards, such as the Moebus Presidential Scholarship, require a special scholarship application to be submitted. If you qualify for any of these scholarships, you will receive email invitations to apply and see links to them on your personal site.

Check out the Scholarships page to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
